Well
Barn is a listed building built around 1800 as a ‘Mowhay,’
meaning a store for hay. Lovingly converted, the thick stone walls and
exposed beams create a peaceful atmosphere.
Upstairs
Master double bedroom with hand basin. Smaller bedroom with full size
bunk bed sleeping two. Fully equipped bathroom. All hot water is instant
for kitchen, bath and shower. Wooden floors with occasional rugs. Central
heating.
Downstairs
Adjacent to the living room, the spacious garden room doubles as a third
bedroom with a choice of double futon and double sofa beds. Drapes can
be drawn to separate the garden room from the living room to ensure
privacy and the open beamed ceilings give the Winkelmann Baby Grand
Piano a wonderful sound. The living room has a wood burner, Oak beams
and stone pillars. Floors are traditional slate with inset carpets and
under-floor central heating. There is a separate well equipped kitchen.
Double
doors lead to the patio and garden with shaded seating areas
and a small lawn with pergola, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, herbs etc. Outside
is a separate garden utility room with freezer, washing machine, solid
fuel barbeque, storage for surfboards, bicycles etc. Outside the front
door there is private parking and a small spring-fed ornamental pool.
